Source? I also read pre-orders all the time. But I havn't seen an official statement about pre-orders.

Sadly I don't think pre-orders will begin this year.

We have been told the rift will be released Q1 2016. That means end of March at the latest.

The only reason I can think of why pre-orders have not started it that the relase date of the rift may be getting delayed. They don't want to take pre-orders if there is a risk the release of the rift may be delayed. I think pre-orders will start once they are 100% certain of the release date for the rift. I check this forum and do a Google search daily for the release date. I wish they would hurry up and take my money.

Oculus have started the month of December with a major announcement every Thursday. I would expect that to continue next thursday as well. With today's announcement of Eve shipping as a free bundle with the Rift I am now expecting a preorders announcement next Thursday since they're talking about what software it's going to ship with it and are at least talking about preorders.

Interesting insight. They have made a big splash every week. I would welcome a pre-order announcement next week.

God, I hope you are right. Just joined the forum, but have been researching the Rift for some time.
