Preview VR missing in UE4.4.3 with CV1

I've installed our brand new Rift (CV1). All seems to be working fine.

I have installed the latest Unreal Engine 4.4.3. Everything I read online tells me I should simply see a 'Preview VR' option in the 'Play' dropdown of UE. However, it isn't there for me.

Any ideas?

weird, have you made sure your rift is on and oculus home is running before you start up UE4? It's working for me 🙂

Yep - all up and running. I have been trying all sorts for a couple of hours now. I have tried uninstalling UE and now have reinstalled. No change. I am trying to install UE4.12.3 now to see if that affects anything.

Should I be 'running' anything specific in the Rift? When I put it on my head, it is running the default home screen for the Rift.

I'm pretty sure the latest version is running for both UE and Oculus Rift (4.4.3 and 1.4.0.224375 respectively)

nope, try starting a new project in the latest version of UE4 to make sure it isn't a problem with your current project.

As soon as I run the Preview VR, I just put on my HMD and it just works 😕

If your still having problems I'd recommend going on the Unreal forums, someone might of have a similar problem: https://forums.unrealengine.com/forumdisplay.php?27-VR-Development

I have now installed UE4.12.3 and it works as expected. Clearly UE4.4.3 doesn't work with the Rift CV1. It would have been nice to have that announced somewhere rather than faffing around for 3+ hours!
