Pricing in Europe

Hey European Rift lover 

WT..... with the price in Europe; it's much more expensive to be an european.
Please oculus change the european pricing. It's 599 in Us and  699Euros which is 790US$ => almost 200$; almost a third more expensive?

What do you think of the price in europe ? 
Dont tell me its the shipping; from china to US or from China to Europe same shipping price.

599 USD is excluding sales tax/VAT

what is the tax ratio in US ?

not sure as i'm in the UK. I just know that when i bought mine it looked like a big hike but when you take 20% vat off it wasn't too bad.

its £549 in the uk inc vat by the looks of it without shipping if you buy online

@Hodders67 yeah, and remember the fall in the price of the £ probably has something to do with that. I pre-ordered and got it for £500. 🙂

@Snorky51  it changes state to state hence why they don't include it in the price.

Also, I like to point out that UK has a customer law that requires them to warrant the product for 2 years vs 1 year in the US. So the prices should match because of the extra warranty requirements that UK makes companies have.

$599 plus 20% VAT is $719. Plus 25% VAT it's $749.

So the Rift is still overpriced in Europe, just not by that much.

That applies in all EU countries, and may cease to apply in the UK due to Brexit.
