Project Cars and Hands?

Hi there.

Do you need a wheel and pedals/xbox controller for Project Cars on the PC with the Rift, or can you use the hand controllers?  I have pCars for on the xbox and find the controller horrible to drive with, I was used to wheel and pedals before an accident, can't use them now.  But, if I can use the hand controllers to 'hold' the wheel etc I'll splash the extra and buy it again.

Please let me know, and add what you might feel relevant for someone who can't use their legs.

Many thanks.

X box controller support is there but touch support isn't as pcars 2 simply has vr support. There is no oculus touch or vive wand support (as far as i know). The devs of pcars 2 have given x box and a few other third party hand controllers extensive testing (so they say) and a lot of people say it is miles better than pcars 1. As an afterthought and another option, how about getting a wheel and mapping throttle and brake to wheel buttons? Before I could afford a wheel with pedals, I used to map throttle and brake to the paddle shifters then put the car into auto gearing in the options. Maybe  worth a try.
