I hope there is native support with CV1 out of the box like DK2.  That game is the best racing game for VR.

Didn't they announce Project Cars as one of the launch line up games? If you have it already, an update should be coming out adding in rift support or at the very least, a download key for the Rift version I'd imagine.

I am waiting for a Steam promotion to get it !
Dirt Rally is also VR compatible - no specification for Oculus in particular tho, but I hope it will handle it like a charm - and is one of the best car driving experience I had. Rally is hard, but so utterly more rewarding.

To the OP, I think Project Cars will be avaible via Oculus Home, so you will be able to jump in without a problem. I still have concerns how it will work when you purchased it via Steam. I don't want to have headache the first day trying to configure the whole thing to make it work properly.

Thank you, and yes, it will be a fully native, full VR experience at Launch on Monday! I can't wait for you guys to get to play with what we've been working on for the last few months. It's.... pretty darn sweet if I say so myself! 🙂

I tried those games but they don't work well on VR.  Assesto Corsa I couldn't get to work w/o massive alt tabbing and eye straining and when it does work it's not as good as Project Cars.  It feels more like an unrefined arcade game.  As for iRacing, every update after 0.0.6 doesn't work and because there isn't native support for certain wheel presets like Project Cars, the feel isn't realistic so racing is damn hard.  I could not control the V8 Supercar in iRacing to be competitive.  In Project Cars I can no problem and on the hardest track too, the mountain track.  I get the fastest lap and 1st place out of the people online.  : )

Great, I just don't see it as a launch title for Oculus Home.  It should be front page and a wheel/pedal set should be recommended.

This game shouldn't be a secret to only those who stumble upon it.  It should be common as Forza.  The free updates are also great because people always try them out.  Was in a race when the Mazda drift car just came out and people were trying to race it.  They didn't know they are supposed to drift it.  It's like impossible to race but doable.  Hardcore racing with Formula A w/ the oculus and wheel/pedal set is great.  Shifting makes the whole perspective move and doing it competitively makes it a realistic experience.  When the DK2 gets snowy randomly, has nothing to do w/ Project Cars as it happens at anytime, I have to look at the monitor and it's impossible to control because the perspective isn't like it is on the goggles.  I was like 30 seconds ahead of a race of 20 people online but then it dropped to like 6 seconds when I won because it cut out like 3 times for like 15-30 seconds each.  I probably would have been 2 minutes ahead w/ no cut outs.  I fly and on the hard track called Brand Hatch.

The Project Cars engine should be used for training student drivers and student race drivers.  There should be a drag strip and autocross options like LFS, Live for Speed.
