A genuine concern/query i have.

I play a lot of Walkabout Mini Golf and Golf+ using a (home made) VR golf club.
The golf club is about 20" long and the controller is fastened to one end of it with your hands being 20" away on the other end.

Now the new controllers use the LED's on the face and your hands to establish where the controllers are, which is great if your hands are actually holding the controllers and not 20" away.

Not only that, but the HMD uses the controllers LED's as we know, which is ideal when, like the Q2, the controller has a ring of them, but with the Q3 the LED's are only on the face and when its at the end of the golf club then these LED's will be facing the floor and not easy for the HMD to pick up.

I have no idea how this is going to work.

In walkabout, I'd also imagine the quest 3 controllers won't like the single controller two hands style I use.

I've not used a club attachment but they nearly all seem to have the controller facing down.

The DeadEyeVR DriVR Pro 2 (could they make the name a bit longer?) has the controller facing up. Does that seem like a potential solution for Quest 3 users? I hear the Q3 controllers have LEDs at the base of the handle though, so not sure what difference that makes without trying it.

Edit: just noticed you said home made but I guess that means you can more easily adapt your kit? also just saw this one on US amazon with a 90 deg head and Q3 controller.

Looks interesting but I'm sure I'd smash my controller into something before long.

Check out the Golf+ discord. Golf+ acknowledges the issue and says it is up to the attachment makers to find a solution.

Thanks @Star56 yep, I edited my post just before yours but your link is useful. Looks like they didn't take long to sort it out. Hopefully @Thug can adapt his club in a similar way.
