Hi, I just got the oculus some days early, and I dont have still haven't the adapter to plug the oculus & the monitor to the gpu at the same time, I will be using a active DP to HDMI.... And I already tried screensharing and doing the setup of oculus but it seems freeze ...

So, I want to ask if there is any way to do the oculus setup with just 1 hdmi port....
Like, I can play the games with the monitor off meanwhile I can travel trough the desktop and all that just using the oculus.

Thanks ❤️

how many plugs does your video card have? so on Display Port and one HDMI from the sounds of it?
Why not use the DP to ur monitor and the HDMI to ur rift?

No, you shouldn't use a splitter, it won't work. You need Rift and your monitor both plugged in directly to the GPU, for example Rift on HDMI and your monitor on DisplayPort with an adapter.

The one in the top is exactly what I have on my gpu (1 DVI-D, 1 HDMI & 1 DP )

I must use the hdmi for the oculus & the this adapter for the monitor?<

Edit: I can Use a DVI-D Dual Link to HDMI or a DP to HDMI too right?
