I've got nothing but a black screen. And I'm not the only one. I have a 388.31 nVidia driver, so this is not the new 390. Oculus should investigate this issue, because I'm not the only one who reporting this.

We are investigating the issue now. To help the investigation, can you please submit a support ticket with logs and more details? Thanks.

K so I just got updated to 1.22 apparantly, nothing major seems changed though, and all still works fine luckely.. If I were to turn on dash under the beta tab though, and it doesn't work, could I then just as easily switch it off again without it having caused any problems?

Yes, you can turn Dash on or off in the settings. Feel free to give it a try.

It is actually crashing my PC, and the screen looks like this if I start Oculus app, even without putting the Rift on.s3x55hbhq62s.jpg

I haven't seen that before. You should definitely post your logs here and also feel free to submit a ticket. See this thread on how to get your LogGatherer log zip file.

Here is the diagnostic file. Is there a way to change somewhere in some ini to start in classic mode, because I can't use my Rift right now. It was all good before I flipped that switch in the settings to use the new dash.

If you're not in the beta, it defaults to Classic Home rather than Home 2.0. You can switch it back and forth in Settings to try out Dash (you don't have to opt into the beta anymore).

DK2, CV1, Go, Quest, Quest 2, Quest 3.

@Jusztin Can you run the Oculus setup installer again and choose Repair? That may help.

I don't wanna scare you, but that looks like a dying gpu man.. At least keep that open as a posibillity.. Because that looks exactly what dying gpu's do when they undergo load before they kick the bucket, does this happen with other heavy load games too or just oculus home?

@cybereality I did the repair, so my app was on classic and everything worked. Flip the switch to Dash in settings, app restarted and the same crash. At least with another repair I can go back to classic and use the Rift.

@Agterbosch I play most of the days with different games, so far I never seen anything like this. Vr games most of the days. Just had a 24hour race in Iracing Vr (with teammates), no crash. I think it is not my GPU, and I hope; just check the current prices!

@Jusztin You have a slightly older Nvidia driver that may not be fully supported. Please install the 388.71 version (note the latest driver may have some issues, so this specific one is recommended).

@cybereality Nvidia update to 388.71 solved the problem. Thanks for the help!
