Is there a way to restore the default home environment that came when I first installed Rift Core 2.0 ? Like another user I used the "reset home" and lost everything.

My rift has updated 6 times now? Was it supposed to be that many? Aaaannnd now my headset is not working.

6 times seems like a lot. There was only 1 update yesterday for the release. Are you in the public test channel? If so, you should uncheck the PTC box in settings.

I'm not on PTC and it's trying to update for the SEVENTH time. One time it updates and I can see the new version/changes and as soon as I get on it forces me to update again. On every other update it goes back to the old look and that's when my headset won't work. I've restarted the Oculus and my pc multiple times. It's like it's in a loop and can't stop.

Download the Oculus setup installer again and choose Repair when running it. That should fix it.

Ok, looking for any other suggestions. Repair did not work. Complete uninstall and reinstall of Oculus software did not work. New update starts when switching from one windows profile to another which makes it go from the new update right back to the classic. Switch windows profile again and low and behold, an update back to the new. We're on our 12th update with NO WAY to stop them.

Please provide a "check for update" button that bypasses the release waves and just gives us the latest public release, especially if you're going to announce them on your blog.  In addition to solving the annoyances of people like me that just downloaded the whole 2GB setup from the web and just ended up with the old version, it would fix the issue of someone like BickleFitch, where it appears one profile has been chosen as part of the release wave and one profile has not.

Addendum: This "You will randomly get the updates we send you and no you can't do anything about it" annoyingness is exactly what I would expect from Facebook, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised...

OK, I understand. You should join the Public Test Channel in the Settings. That should resolve the issue.
