I've got to say, the Oculus app/Oculus Home has seemed less stable since 1.22 started rolling out. I've been in the PTC stream for 1.21 and 1.22, and hadn't had problems with it until recently. Over the last few days I've had a few instances when my headset wouldn't light up after putting it on, but there was no error in the app, and I could hear the audio working. Restarting the Oculus service or rebooting my PC fixes it. I've also had a number of occasions when Home doesn't load, but instead I just get the white grid space. I had my Touch controllers lock up last night, too--I could see them floating in front of me in Home, but they wouldn't move or respond to button presses. Exiting and restarting the Oculus app fixed it, but I've never had to do so much restarting/rebooting before.

I tried opting out of the beta stream, which reverted me to 1.20. I then opted back in, so we'll see if things work any better after reinstalling 1.22. *Edit--didn't improve, same problems persist.

I had the same issue nalex. Odly enough a clean install of nvidia drivers fixed it (through the driver installer- no messing around with safe mode or other apps)

I had the black screen issue a while back, a few days after first installing 390.65. Since a number of other people were mentioning problems with the driver, I tried a clean install of the previous release, and the Rift worked. I then went back to 390.65 (although I didn't do another clean install), and the Rift continued to work. Over the past few days the problem has cropped up again, but I don't know whether it can be attributed to the Nvidia driver, Oculus 1.22, a combination of the two, or something else (like the Windows update to protect against the Meltdown exploit). There have been too many factors that have changed at the same time to pin down a definite cause.

Not having any issues so far with Beta Oculus Home or latest Drivers ... (latest windows patch too) I wonder what is causing issues for other people?!

I was previously getting the occasional black screen in Rift upon first putting on the headset, requiring a reboot of the PC to get it working again. Last 3-4 days though it has been solid as a rock for me. I am on the Public Test Channel.
