Hi all - our final design incorporates the features requested by many on this forum and is now getting a great reaction.  Big thanks to all!

It's been a long road (to say the least) but we've finally gone live and are now accepting pre-orders with $100 discount.  Exciting times.  Comments and feedback as always very welcome.

Looks pretty sweet.  But how does the chair know when the player wants the chair to rotate or when they just want to rotate their head alone

Are there any plans to ship from the U.S?  The shipping cost is painful.

Looks really cool, very tempted. At the store to get the full experience do you need to add everything? Under description of the chair it says it includes cable magazine but in the store section there is a separate cable magazine. Do you offer a bundle for the complete package?

That looks pretty damn awesome. Although after the fiasco with the Rift "soft covers" that never came in, I will probably wait a bit before purchasing any new VR Products.

The chair looks amazing and makes me wish I still had my Barbers chair! On a personal note: I love that sit-down VR gaming has spawned a new market, in contrast to the idea of standing the entire time. Hooray!

I am so close to clicking down on that order button, but I think it would be better with motorized pitch and roll as well.  This would be the ultimate VR motion sim, assuming they add a pedal deck and side-mounted accessory options such as flight/hotas mounts as well.  The table is cool, but I've tried similar options, and the proper center/side-mounted mounts make a huge difference in my opinion.  I'm sure the full 6DOF model will be coming soon, so I will deny myself this particular order button for now. I think...

Depending on the experience, you can choose between:

Using our HeadTracker, look left and you'll turn left.  Great for most movies, games and experiences out of the box.  It's comfortable 360 viewing without getting tangled up.

Also rotations can work by linking to your L or R joystick. Great for making / taking rides (360 movies, coasters, guided tours).  Also great for forward-facing cockpit games like Elite.  We have a special mode called Cockpit Mode where we restrict rotations to just 5-10% (feels like an arcade simulator), thus you're always facing the right way.

Also, you can easily program a ride (using our PC Utility and an Xbox controller), or download a pre-programmed ride from our share site (coming a bit later) using the Xbox controller.

Rotations can also be programmable by developers (the motor is bi-directional), so they can turn you to face the action wherever and whenever they want.  It's simple to code for using our free SDK (coming soon).

Worth adding, our Double Rumble Simulator Pack work with all games, movies etc - it uses audio to trigger rumble sensations.  It's like 4D on steroids because we affix the shakers directly to the back and underside of the Roto VR chair.

Hope this helps

HI Jademan - yes, pitch / roll is great, but it's costly.  No way around it.  We honestly believe 360 turns are more important for most VR experiences (and quieter too)

We are making no money on the slip rings.  We didn't include in the bundle because some people might want Gear VR.  We include basic slip rings on our entry product to support Gear VR (charging) as well as the Double Rumble Simulator Pack (shakers)

Sorry - $165 is our best price for generic USA shipping at this moment.  It's a large unit (base plus chair)
