How long will it be until my graphics card gains support. Its quite stupid how many people are getting screwed over buying computers with unsupported cards. I was one of those people and oculus has yet to even put a disclaimer out. All I want is a simple eta when the 3050 will be supported.
Solved! Go to Solution.

Hey. I also bought a sysyem with a 3050ti GPU. I did so BEFORE they stated that they couldn't support it. They literally then stated not to worry support was being developed with NVidia a few days later. Then that statement changed after my window to take the computer back ended to "we cannot currently support this gpu & do not know if we will ever". So I paid 1600 bucks for something I couldn't use with their product based off their recommendations at the time I purchased it. Long story short, THEIR ANSWER WAS NOT ACCEPTABLE. So I searched for a workaround.. a solution to prove they are wrong and that the gpu can handle the VR Experience via Steam VR.
A workaround that actually WORKS is to download Virtual Desktop from the actual oculus headset. Once installed you download the streamer app onto your PC to link up in synchronizing the 2. Once you're linked up just research any games before buying to see if they have had issues from other occulus users and if not enjoy. If problems do arise, I've researches and fixed several games myself already to work like Rick & Morty as well as others. I am literally a techie beginner and have never done something like this before. So a 20 dollar app from Ocullus allowed me to stick a finger in the air and call the bluff that it's not going to work well and prove it works AMAZINGLY. As a matter of fact my gpu & cpu rarely go over 60 to 70 percent usage at max experience on most games I've played. I hope this helps you. Peace to you and let's keep fighting to get OFFICIAL support for our very capable systems.

Hate to break it to you. But they already posted a disclaimer.
as bad as this sucks, the fault is on nvidia as they decided to do a cash grab when the gpu market imploded. But the 3050 is a crap card for vr. If your going vr you really need a 3060ti as bare min, but to take full advantage you need a 3080ti to even get something remotely worthy of vr.

I hope they eventually support us since I was compatible when I bought this also and it played well via airlink until last update. Thanks Krampus!

That was not there when I bought my 3050 and it has worked fine for a year before they cut me off.
