Screenshot in quest link

I have a question to ask.
Is it possible to take a screenshot when in quest link mode?
For example when I am running a virtual environment on unity
I tried mashing the oculos button and the trigger on the right controller but it didn't work

Hey there,

Welcome to the community forums, thank you for posting 😀

• When in air link you can press the menu button, then the air link menu appears.
• There you can hover on the clock on the left side and there you have a screenshot button.
• After clicking it, you have a countdown of 5 seconds to return to the game situation.

Is there another method? That means I have to leave the game to open a menu, then I have to reposition my head/view and hope I get the timing right. It's not the same at all as using the shortcut and is not even remotely a realistic solution for gaming screenshots which can rely on timing. It's fine for if I'm using it as a virtual desktop. Is there a way to rebind the shortcut button command, or allow it to be used in Link mode?

Hey there,

The current option is a bit obtuse but as far as I am aware this is the only option for taking a screenshot while using quest link.

A possible workaround could be using your keyboard to press the windows key and G together to open the overlay then pressing the screenshot button however that would split the view of the image due to VR.

Unless any other members of the community have some insight into any potential workarounds, it may be worth creating a post in the ideas forum for a easier to access option potentially being introduced in the future.

 If you're using steam VR with your Quest headset then you can take screenshots

If you're running Oculus Mirror while playing PCVR you can also capture screenshots of the gameplay on the PC with the screenprint key.
