Seems just putting the Rift on Brings cause to Nausea

Let me tell you why it feels this way. When you put it on, it gets hot. so one is heat, and 2 is   a smell of like burning rubber. Yeah, there's this smell and it goes right leaking from the nose area. Probably has to do with the materials and the heat.

If there was fresh air and a nice aroma or no aroma at all and less heat it wouldn't make me so prone to feeling nauseious.

Anybody else?

I've never experienced it getting hot..warm maybe but not hot and I've never smelt a burnt rubber smell either coming from the headset.

Yeah it gets warm but mainly only on the top part of it (in front of the top strap) and never have I smelt burning rubber.

Rub orange peel into the rim - the issue is being caused by induced nausea. Remove the smell, remove the memory.

Will a fan help at all?  I haven't tried my rift yet because my video card isn't here yet.  I don't want to get dizzy because of heat and fumes.

Pablito, i just said burning smell but it's not that.. it's just the material, it smells kind of rubbery.

Well, I hope you find a solution.

I know that Sony has used a 'neutral' plastic smell in the PSVR v1's - but they do that with cameras and other "close face" systems. Think it may have been an aspect HTC and OVR may not have considered.

I don't get the smell but my forehead leaks like a sieve so I point a fan desk on my face and sorted. Roll on the winter lol
