Seems just putting the Rift on Brings cause to Nausea

Let me tell you why it feels this way. When you put it on, it gets hot. so one is heat, and 2 is   a smell of like burning rubber. Yeah, there's this smell and it goes right leaking from the nose area. Probably has to do with the materials and the heat.

If there was fresh air and a nice aroma or no aroma at all and less heat it wouldn't make me so prone to feeling nauseious.

Anybody else?

i would tend to steer clear of putting anything directly onto the lenses of my Rift, maybe even if Oculus said it would be OK.

Apart from the "nose gap" that will probably depend upon the shape of your face, your nose should mainly pick up smells from the outside of the Rift, ie, under your nostrils, which will normally sit outside of the Rift.

I suppose that you could put some of that stuff on the underside of the external of the Rift, but there are probably other deodorant products that are likely to be cheaper and possibly more effective.

Hey guys i'm back and the smell continues and it brings the feeling of nausea. And i'm not the only one.

Yes, @VRfriend2016X it has been a known issue for some time (back in the 70's when smell aversion therapy was discussed regarding cockpit simulation).  The sim-sickness lists include smell for some time. And this was brought up when VR was relaunched back in 2011, but sadly as you will see from this and Reddit forums, there is a group of 'fanboys' that are very unhappy to see any discussion on sim-sickness or any detracting issues with the hardware they are backing.

It is a sad factor of the forum business, but in offering the anonymity to discuss, this also offers a playground for those with vested interests to attack. And many of those see discussion on sim-sickness as a major danger to that aspirations - and so apply full force to shut down or discredit discussions in this vien. So to your point - yes it is an issue, yes there are many suffering from this, and yes this is a concern if not addressed for the mainstream application of the tech.
