you may have, please, some updating, regardless of how many units you plan to ship in August?

im quite sure that the lack of updates is only driving the prices higher in the favour of scalpers.
i hate to admit it but even i have thought about buying one simply for the assured delivery but if updates came regularly (even bad updates) then at least we have an ETA to look to.

im sure oculus have their own issues with their suppliers that they constantly have to chase for updates so they should appreciate the importance of keeping their own customers in the loop

I agree. I have been harsh with people's impatient rants, but ultimately Oculus isn't making this any better with the absence of information. Amusingly, even a post from Cyber reading "We just don't know yet, and I'll give a short update every few days" would appease many.

If this information helps in anyway, I ordered mine on the 21st of March. I haven't heard anything so far and I am not too bothered either, first it gives me time to work on my project, secondly there isn't much new software as yet for the DK2. Give a couple of month and developers who have held on for the DK2 will then release some "pent up" gems.

I agree. I'm fine with mine not coming for a while because I prefer to have things that work, and in the meantime I can keep working on my project in UE4.

Everyone complaining should show their stance and protest by cancelling their order!... oh wait you're not going to do that now are you? Perhaps you should work on your patience.

Also hoping for an update. They still haven't gotten through the first day, but hopefully the production will ramp up quickly.

It was announced long ago that 10000 or so were going to ship in July, some of the ones initially slated for July were delayed to ship first half of August, and that the SDK delay wasn't going to affect any of the ones slated to ship in August or later. If that hasn't changed, then there's no point in a new update. I mean, what exact information are you expecting to hear? Of course you WANT to hear "we are shipping 500,000 of them today, you'll all receive them by 3:00", but I somehow doubt that's gonna happen 🙂
