Recently purchased my first VR headset and have loved it so far. Been inviting friends over to try it and to try and convince them to buy it so I'm not alone in my virtual world.
My friend recently purchased his headset and we wanted to do the referral system. I've sent my code to him but rather than setting his account up via mobile he's done so on his headset (eager to get it on) this now means we missed out on the referral system apperntly. After explaining for 2 hours to customer support this was a genuine mistake they say the cannot make any exceptions in our case so I can now only vent my frustration here and warn other of this poor customer support. Never had this with any other "big" companies and I'm sure this could be fixed with a couple of clicks.
Very disappointed in Meta. There should also been a referral screen when you turn the headset on for the first time as my friend pointed out, that would make it alot easier to not make a mistake.
Hopefully this review can help others not make our mistake and pre warn you of there shocking customer support.
