I should get a Quest 2 or 3. I am going to stream games on my PC. I know Quest 3 allows you to do the thing in Apple Vision Pro where you can watch a video or something and see real life can you do that on Quest 2?
Both the Quest 2 and Quest 3 have passthrough video. The big difference though is the Quest 2's passthrough cameras are low resolution and black&white, while the Quest 3 has high resolution and colour cameras.
The Quest 3 has a better CPU, wider field of view, higher resolution screens, smooth IPD adjustment and much better lenses. I'd choose the 3 over the 2 any day.
Except... The Quest 3 has misaligned controllers that make gun games annoying. They aim 15 degrees to the side and down. Meta refuse to acknowledge their software has a bug despite many complaints. So for games that need accurate guns but have no calibration in-game, I'd use a Quest 2, while everything else a Quest 3 is better.
