I have been keeping up with any talk about Deckard. So far there is no solid info on any release date. They are definitely working on it. But they have been working on it for years.
I'm figuring that you will be waiting for a LOOOOOOONG time before you see it materialize.
Grab a Quest 3. Enjoy some quality VR. When they finally release the Dekard, find out if it is actually all that we think it is going to be. If it is… Sell you Q3 and upgrade.
But, VR is getting better and better every day. The Q3 is a solid piece of tech. Add PCVR to it and you are in an awesome position to wait for the new VALVE VR whenever it gets here.
Just my opinion.

Rumours and consensus are kinda mutually exclusive. Valve will make an announcement when they are good and ready, or never. It's the valve way.

Or just get the Index. I like the Index more than the PSVR2, even if the latter has 80% higher panel res.
Nothing beats the Index for tracking precision, tracking volume, sound, 144 Hz, comfort and vertical fov. You get awesome performance in native (non-OpenXR) SteamVR games, and those are still many. Index controllers are my favorite. Like the CV1, you can use Index in a totally dark room - no need for any lights where other persons can see you make strange movements 😉 Index is the hmd I use the most - I really don't care for another hmd, even if made by Valve, but I'd love some Alyx 2 🙂
