Should there be in Oculus various designs and colours to choose from?

Dear Oculus Peeps,

I personally feel, although Oculus is prepay that there should be a choice for colours with their head gears.  Perhaps one day, we can choose the type of design we want to go on our head gears and make our purchase much more personal.  It would be great if we can personalise our head gears.  What do the forum peeps think?

The design is perfect.  Comparded to the ugly designs of the Vive series and that ugly Pimix design anyways.  As for colors....that would add more trouble for production.  It's not just as simple as a paint job unfortunately.

Nah, I quite like the Rift's look tbh.

You CAN put stickers and stuff on the headset just as long as you make sure you're not covering the IR LEDs. You can see where they are by using a mobile phone camera.

One day maybe but right now, tis the sexiest thing a man can put on his face.

Big PC, all the headsets, now using Quest 3

Dear DigiKid1,

Although the design is perfect would it not be better to have a choice? I suppose because its prepay, the cost of offering customers a choice would be a disaster as there needs to be finances from the very beginning to start off with.  Although they say ''Oculus sold out to Facebook for $2 Billion'', I doubt that this was true as the company struggled in the beginning.

It wouldn't be to hard to change the colour of the fabric surrounding the headset. Although I am not sure it makes much sense for the Rift - I am not sure if brighter / different colours would affect the sensor tracking.

But  - I could see different colours being a cool way to add value to the Oculus Go line up if it is successful. I would definitely buy one that sported a Black and Yellow colour scheme (my hockey team is the Boston Bruins).

For the Rift - I am not sure if there is enough draw for it or the CV2 yet to manufacture different colour schemes - and also I kind of feel like the current aesthetic gives off a much more premium look that matches high end electronics and computers (as opposed to some of the other headsets that look chunky and plasticy).

But I could definitely see the Go being available in other colours for sure down the line.

Makes no difference to me, when using my Rift I see none of the exterior anyways.
