Sick and tired of 3rd person...VR?

Why so many 3rd person games?

Just heard the Insomniac guy say "Designed from the ground up for VR".

Hardly. Third person VR is disgusting, why are you wasting our time with this? I don't mind a few games here or there, or some sort of VR table top experience, but VR is about feeling like you're in a virtual space, not a rotating camera strapped to some character's back.

Combine this nonsense with the Xbone controller, and you've pretty much convinced me that Valve is going to be the way to go for any serious VR gamer/developer.

not that 3rd person vr can't work well cause it can... but what it does say is that Developers are not quite ready to fully commit to VR.. and are spread betting to cut their losses. This game can be played both through VR and through a monitor for example.
