Rather than discuss the potential pros/cons of considering whether or not to pre-order a Cosmos versus other VR headsets, who has actually pre-ordered one? I for one have pre-ordered one.
Once these are delivered (hopefully next month) we can start a Cosmos First Impressions thread (and close this one, plus other pre-delivery Cosmos threads). Personally I'm not sure how this is all going to work out but I'm looking forward to the ride, lol!

Like I do, you can just keep a Rift hmd connected - then you risk very little by the upgrade and will be able to enjoy the best of both worlds. But chances are that one hmd will end up ruling them all 😉
For long I couldn't understand how anyone could buy Vive or WMR and say goodbye to Oculus exclusives and ASW2. But using the Index everything changes perspective. There're so many VR games and apps on Steam that even if I couldn't play Stormland, Lone Echo 2 and/or Asgard's Wrath without using Rift(-S), I no longer probably wouldn't care much. Most games seem to be available on Steam these days.

Well bugger, I cannot wait for the Index to come to Australia, nor can I wait for a big Oculus counter-punch, so I've pre-ordered a Cosmos, lol! Hopefully it will be a reasonably good upgrade to my current Rift cv1 w/2x sensors. Time will tell I guess.

A hmd is like a pacemaker, you don't go for the cheapest stuff o:)

Ya, I know this first hand. Definitely a bit of a gamble.
I preordered a Rift S from the Oculus store last May and ended up returning it for a refund after 3 weeks use (mainly due to grip/trigger lag).
I hope and pray that I have better luck with my preordered Cosmos because I don’t think HTC refunds are easy to get.
