So happy, initial thoughts after first 3hrs of use

Got my Rift today, and would like to share some of thoughts with you all.

1. It arrived in very good shape.  love the box ! it looks absolutely premium

2. Installation, smooth as butter

3. As soon as i did put it on, and the first images where appearing i was stunned with the visual quality. it is a big step up compared to the DK2. yes, those godrays are there, but they are not disturbing me at all. i am thrilled about it...

4. it was a warm day here, and had nearly no issue at all with fogging

5. only minor issue i'm having is that in some apps, the image seems to judder back and forth, most likely i need to fine tune my sensor placement

6. with the DK2 i got dizzy and VR sick quite easy, with the CV1 no issue at all, even after 3hours of first use !

COULD NOT BE MORE HAPPY !!!!!!!!!!
i was a bit affraid, with some of the forum posts we are seeing in here and on reddit, but it is an amazing piece of hardware !

Buy Edge of Nowhere. You'll be glad you did.

I am want to buy this one, but I hope it works, as I'm running my rift on my msi g219 980m laptop, so far eve is running good, but I'm hesitant to buy the climb and edge of nowhere.

You have a 980M? I'm surprised the Rift works at all.

It sounds like he already has a Rift. Hopefully he's saving up for a nice desktop.

I bought the Climb on Friday and played for 20 minutes today. I have a natural phobia of heights but after a full month of VR fun, I am able to push my limits a bit more and more each week. I'm glad I waited a month before buying the Climb. Now I can actually play it, enjoy it, and completely freak out as I use my whole body to attempt a "jump n grab" while hanging 100 feet in the air.

Highly recommended. Darknet is also a must have!

Well, after 3 days, i'm still extremely happy.

fine tuned my Sensor placement, and now the judder is gone.

Pinball FX2 VR is absolutely huge fun for me.
had quite a few fun races already in Project Cars and iRacing.
Blaze rush is good fun as well, and tried EVE Valkyrie, nice VR experience, but not really my type of game 🙂

Henry is such a nice movie to watch, and i can highly recommend Titans of Space 🙂

Sometimes i do wish we had some better resolution, specially in Project cars, where cars in the distant are really hard to recognize sometimes. but that is me being nit picky 😉

so if anyone is doubting the rift.... DON'T, it is worth every single cent i payed for it.

Yeah, that one was short, but impressive. Hopefully they'll expand it in future.

I'm on my second day of actually using it. Spend days rebuilding my PC to spec.

I'm overjoyed. Better than I ever imagined. I played Elite Dangerous with it and it's mind-blowing. I can't wait to try Project Cars!

I can't wait to get my hands on the touch sensors.

For some reason, the graphics quality in Assetto Corsa is WAY better than in Project Cars. (In VR that is)
but... i'm stuck in the pitlane for now in AC, looks like i have some setup work to do before AC works properly with the rift. In Project cars it is very immersive, but very low visual quality.  can't read the text of the steering wheel labels for example, not that it is less fun, but it doesn't appear to make full use of the rift if i compare it with AC.
In desktop mode it is the other way around, Pcars is simply stunning in the graphics department.
