which would be fine if the buyers weren't getting ripped off... chances are OVR's policy will be the same as with DK1 - they'll only support the original purchasers of the DK2... so these guys are screwed if something goes wrong.

I hope Oculus is able to identify that idiot and cancel his preorders so real developers can get their dk2 sooner.

The thing is with this sort of selling it taints people who need genuine larger orders, you can't blame people for wanting to earn money just a shame it gets in the way of genuine production/development!

I don't see a company trying to make money canceling the pre-orders as it would require them to refund his money. I do think that the registered developers, big budget, then indie, then individual developers should be the order they send these out. The people who are getting it to just play VR really should be last on this list. I am a new person looking at working on independent development but I would expect to get it with the ones who just want to use it to play what's out as I am still reading and relearning the writing of code.

The best remedy to guys abusing the pre-order system is to not purchase from them. Additionally, Oculus has tens of thousands of pre-orders already, these guys are barely making a dent in the supply. If they were, I'm sure Oculus would have placed a limit on orders per customer.

If they don't cancel, they could at least put them at the end of the line.
