@Bagnet - "Its bloody illogical!" I agree and the Klingons would also.

Who knows.  Hell, why did they use Unity instead of Unreal engine?

My main Question is why in the hell are they getting the CPU to do graphics! Its like getting the sound card to Mine Bitcoins. My CPU is quite old so i can only run on low. My graphics card is 1070 and could handle anything this game is throwing at it with no issues at all. Its bloody illogical! Why do i need a new I7 for graphics when i have a new Graphics card. Its not like its masses of physics that are added.. just some particle effects etc.. which the card is designed to handle!

Exact same boat here!  Equally galled too.  Left a bad feeling in my mouth.

Let the GPU do GPU stuff; that's their entire purpose! Sure if you have an i7 on a laptop or tablet and want to make it thin but I have a gaming rig!

But I have played the thing on 'Full', for a good couple of goes and apart from the main explosions, which pour out more fizz, there is very little difference to 'auto' which on my rig is 'Low'.

I get an error when I try to purchase Star Trek Bridge Crew from the Oculus Store. It says "Purchase Failed" and then "Sorry, something went wrong. Please try again later. (OVR53225466)". I tried purchasing from within VR and from the desktop, same thing in both places although in VR I get a different message. It says something like "We're working to fix this as fast as we can" there. I tried restarting and also waited a few hours before trying again.

I got this same message but, oddly, it would let me play once after each reboot then the "Click to Finish Install" message would come up again followed by the "couln't install" message you show below.  However, in those few times I was able to play, I decided the game wasn't worth the trouble and just uninstalled it.  If you are a major Star Trek fan then I suppose it is a "must have" otherwise it's a pass.  It really isn't anywhere hear the level you would expect for a $50 game.  1990's graphics (low poly count, 8 bit color cartoonish textures),  star map is about 50 feet away so you feel like you are in a bubble and can reach out and touch the stars painted on the wall, having to take the headset off to deal with ubsoft signin messages during startup, commander talking without moving his lips during training (ventriloquist?), only about 2 hours of play before it becomes repetitive and boring.  You have to be a really big ST fan to look past all these.  Much better games out there to play.

gozp1t91ag4o.jpgHi everyone, just finished install the game,  I receive the same error, saying that it was not possible to install the game. Where can i have a Steam code to install the game from there?
thanks

I purchased this morning from inside the VR Environment. It took me out to log into my UBISOFT account, which I did. Now it says unable to authenticate I purchased the game. Receipt Number: 61300494676517

Nevermind, it seems to have fixed itself.. all is working now.

Wow, you don't even kinda remember what 90's graphics looked like, do you?

Yeah, I may have exaggerated a little on that particular comment. It just doesn't come close to some of the other titles I've played like ED, EV, Batman, etc.  I didn't really mean to be that harsh on the game. I *might* have played some more if I could have gotten it to install properly but I didn't want to reset the oculus install which would have lost my other game progress (the first step customer support wanted me to do).

I'll wait for them to upgrade those graphics...
