If you haven't done so yet, be sure to log in to Steam and select your favorite titles:
https://store.steampowered.com/steamawards/nominations
If I judge things based on what I have played personally, then I would need to pick:
Wraith: The Oblivions - Afterlife
Although I really want to try this before I nominate:
ALTDEUS: Beyond Chronos
Other titles I haven't tried yet but seem like potential VR winners due to their popularity include:
In fact, Pulsar is high on my To Do list.
Of course, these are the titles that are the most alluring since the Steam Awards are limited to what is only available on Steam. No doubt that RE4 VR and Lone Echo 2 would likely sweep the competition if they were cross-platform.
If anyone else votes, let me know which nominations you chose.
The Steam Awards extend beyond VR obviously, so I stole this list off reddit of some of the games released this year. And a few of them have VR Mods which is great; such as Valheim!
Plus, you can select games released at the end of 2020, such as Cyberpunk 2077.
Something tells me that the non-VR game of the year matchup will be between Resident Evil Village and Cyberpunk 2077. Although that cute horror franchise, Little Nightmares, always has a special place in my heart.
Preview list of eligible titles for both VR and non-VR:

It has very unique "VR interaction" you can't find in other VR games. (all at once)
Even so visuals are not top, but gameplay is great and imeersion in VR (you feel inside an action).
Most of it is how you use Touch controllers for tagging, moving and climbing (no a simple task). And all of that is in same game.
