SteamVR games Desktop mirror image has low FOV

Has anybody else noticed this?
Is there some setting I can't find where you can increase it?
At the moment it's pretty useless spectating someone play e.g. Onward when you can't see the entire image.

Yeah, the window is crap but unfortunately it's set up by SteamVR and doesn't have any options.
A few games set their own on-screen spectating viewing window - Job Simulator for example - and do a better job of it, so it can be done but devs need to do it.

Thanks for the answer, even though it's not the one I was hoping for :disappointed:

Heh, I also posted a similar thread in the SteamVR forums but got no response.. but whaddayaknow - there was an update today featuring (among other):

Desktop Theater:
  • Added aspect fill option to remove or reduce letterbox effect
  • Widened virtual screen to better fit wider aspect ratios
