SteamVR on the Rift

Super quick question for anyone who can help:

Is there a way to have SteamVR work with the CV1? If so, how would I go about doing this?

I think SteamVR is still stuck at 0.8 Runtime, you need to wait for Steam to update it

So do you think it will be possible in the future? Or are we stuck with Home only?

Not complaining about Home, just curious.

No no no, nobody is stuck anywhere  , you just need to let Steam update it, give it a few days. SteamVR will work perfectly with CV1.

Every now and then Oculus will release a new SDK that will break compatibility with SteamVR , then Steam will update it again, and so on and so on

I think they said that from v1.0 and on, new releases won't break compatibility. For instance, when eventually a new 1.4 runtime is released, everything built with the 1.3 SDK will still run perfectly.
Correct me if I'm wrong, plz.

@crim3 I did hear that v1.0 and on won't break compatibility. They mentioned it at Connect 2:
