Stuttering in game? Please help

hey guys, I'm getting stuttering off and on through the game, allot during some turns around the track. I have a i7 4770 and a gtx 980 overclocked with most settings on low and medium except for car detail which is on ultra and textures on high. I tried vsync and that made the game so stuttery it was unplayable. Any tips on getting rid of The stuttering? And how can I make vsync work properly? Do I have to change it to 2 frames buffered instead of one?

You might want to turn the textures and shadows down. Think of the setting that make games sometimes struggle on desktop monitor and you have your answer.

I presume you're talking about PCARS.

Make sure reflections are NOT on Ultra, also, turn grass off, it's a total waste of GPU power. Are you running any kind of AA?

Reflections are on medium, shadow is on medium and grass is off, is there a way to make vsync work?

980 should be powerfull enough

I would to a total fresh keep files only reinstall of windows and fresh drivers to rule out any software slowing you down

then with it all fresh if you still get judder then you can focus on the hardware

but thats just me 🙂

You would wipe your whole computer just because you got judder in a game?

Just turn vsync off.

yes I would and do because sometimes conflict happens with software and software in the background takes resources

also its the only way to be sure, I have done this method for over 20 years now and it works like a charm
