As you know I'm a London paramedic. I have loads of scary stories but one sticks out in my mind. I was working alone in my fast response car and got called to a trapped behind locked doors. Now this can mean many things, the person has fallen and cannot get to the door, they not in or they dead. I got to the house, not creepy, just a normal suburban semi detached. I open the letterbox and shout out "ambulance" !!! I hear a muffled help me help me. So I do the thing we are allowed to and break the door down. I get in and say "where are you"? Clear as day i hear "upstairs" i rush upstairs with all my bags and call "what room"? Nothing...i call out again, still nothing. So now i think the patient is either unconscious or in cardiac arrest. I hear from downstairs that the police have arrived and let them know I've broken in and am looking for the distressed person. 3 rooms upstairs, 1st room nothing 2nd room nothing so they must be in the 3rd room right ? Yup you guessed it, nothing. Now I'm super confused and rush around the house looking for the patient. The whole house was empty and I start getting that funny feeling. Then I had to explain my actions to the police and sounded like a right prat. To this very day and as I'm typing I can still hear that voice "upstairs" true story. Who is next?

1 time as a young boy i walked outside from house to house, as i reached the other house i saw what looked like a zombie, staring right at my beside the door, i couldnt scream, i ran back terrified and told my story. it was years later i saw a ghilly suit and thought yeah someone was in a ghilly suit all cammoed up wandering around at night time.
1 other time i was gasing the car up, at night, and as i was standing there ahead of me a stones throw away from the dirt and bushed up stands a squad of 10 to 15 boys who had been laying down on the ground watching me gas up and as i was finishing up they all stood up brushed themselves off and walked away to the city streets as if nothing had happened. it was very surreal.
I went to a Roman Catholic school that was supposed to be haunted by the ghost of a Nun, a few people claimed to have seen it but nobody believed them. The worst horror story at that school was someone coming in from outside with a bloomin crossbow that was after one of the pupils, everyone legged it out of the way, never run so fast in all my life (and no, he wasn't after me lol)!!! :open_mouth: 😄
One night in my early twenties, I dreamt that I fell off of a building and awoke abruptly. I opened my eyes and there staring down at me, a few inches from my face was an old man with his hands behind his back. He seemed surprised by me waking so suddenly and stepped slowly backwards into the wall and disappeared. I was completely awake and shocked by the whole thing.
I had pretty much written it off as a weird hallucination until a few months later my mother was vacuuming in her bedroom when an old man wearing red braces walked by the door. She was terrified and stayed in her room for a long time until she managed to gather the courage to look out of the door.
In the doorway to my room the old man stood looking at her, he lowered his arms as if pleading for something and she said he looked very sad. She ran off downstairs and had to be calmed by my Dad who couldn't find anything when he went up to check.
So here is the weird thing , discussing this again after about 30 years with her. I am now 51 and my mum says he kind of looked like an older me, something she didn't realise at the time telling the younger me. Was my future self haunting my own past after death? Although there is no way I would be caught dead in red braces lol.
Edit: Been a long time since my mum told me the story so I was little wrong with her account so corrected it.
There's a fantastic documentary on Netflix called The Devil And Father Amorth with William Friedkin who directed The Exorcist. Pretty bloody spooky at one point during the exorcism, a great watch for Halloween.
Rumour has it that the girl that's possessed isn't Italian but is in fact Colombian but those are just RUMOURS.
I'm sure it has NOTHING to do with @vannagirl at all. 😄
