Test Drive Unlimited 2

Hey all, just want to know if anyone has gotten TDU2 working with vorpx or any of the other drivers. I spent over 200 hours in this game because of the camera hack with triple monitors and trackIR, would love to revisit Hawaii using the rift and spend a few hundred more hours in this glorious and beautiful game.

I made a video a couple of years ago with triple monitors and trackIR with the camera hack, it is quite an improvement using 3 monitors and head tracking:

Great video! The sense of speed is kinda nuts, and I can't imagine how intense those near-misses would be in the Rift.

+1 to this. Would love to see this game rifted.

Emailed Ralf, think I got the ball rolling

Hi,

Glad to hear that.

I bought TDU2 a few weeks ago, and it is sitting in my Steam account.
I'll see what I can do, no promises though.

Kind regards,
Ralf

Fired up vorpx with tdu2 in duplicate mode just for the hell of it, 1680x1050, and TDU2 actually works! Could be pretty good if i could only change the field of view some how... about to test it with camera hack and opentrack right now!

Damn, if you could get this to work that would be so awesome!

It's working okay using vorpx with the camera hack but unfortunately lack of FOV adjustment makes it a failure... anybody know how to change fov? Google has no results except camera hack 1.3.1 which doesn't even work with dlc2, 1.2 is missing the fov.

What depth are the HUD elements? Are they inside the car or off in the distance?

TDU2 seems to be on the back foot these days, am I alone in hoping that the Rift will be CPR to this awesome game?

People with G27 or similar with stand-alone shifters, do you keep one hand on the gearstick at all times? If not, how do you find it quickly without risking knocking over your beer/wine/coffee/cat?

I only have my hand on the stick shift in lower gears, the shifter is always in the same spot, so muscle memory remembers it, like when you play guitar, you remember chords and don't need to remember the placement of each individual finger, your hand just automatically goes where it needs to... keep beers away from the shifter.... or use paddle shifters...
