Yes this year will be big for VR, stand-alone headsets are going sell well. Because you don’t need a pc to connect to and the quest starts from £399 which is affordable for a lot more people.

Was there any difference in whether you got a gold Rift for your Home, if you bought from Oculus or from Amazon or Best Buy?
A small thing but I was disappointed I did not get a gold DK1 ? got the DK2 and CV1. All bought direct.
However I guess somebody could just make and import them now. ?
That'd probably be enough to get me emailing support, as OCD as I am. So you didn't get any of them? I haven't played much with importing models to Home yet but it's definitely on my list of things to do. So many possibilities.

Got my Klipsch Earbuds to use with my Rift S, tried them out with the front headphone jack on my motherboard and they sounded awesome, if the Rift S audio with them is anything close as good I will be one happy camper.
Now if I could just get a Display Port to HDMI adapter that would work with the Rift S I will be set. I love the convenience of being able to plug the Rift into my case front ports for HDMI and USB3. I guess I will go ahead and order one and hope it works.
Just pre-ordered a Rift S, never thought I'd get into VR, usually an early adopter (RTX 2080) I've really wanted to go VR. Just finished Metro Exodus (what a blast!!!) and seen that it's VR sorted. Gives me an excuse to get scared shitless again lol :smiley:
I also sim with A10-C, this is going to be a game changer for me :dizzy:
Oh, and I'm 55 in July, us 'oldies' just love new tech.
Since my CV1 developed an issue with the left headphone I decided to bite the bullet on a Rift-S. Oculus just doesn't want my money, though. I'm getting an "unexpected error has occurred" message whenever I try and login to buy the damn thing. I'll give support some time to see if they can fix that before I resort to something like Amazon (I'm in AU).

Only kickstarters got the DK1
Seems a little harsh ? missed it by two days and bought it through Oculus.
