Transferring games to new device.

Hi, I'm just wondering if I get a Quest 3, will all my Quest 2 info and save game progress transfer over if I use the same account? The thing is I forgot my pattern. Will that change anything?

Hi @theboys406 , for transferring saved games to another headset with the same account, make sure you have 'cloud backup' switched on... in your headset, go to Settings>System>Backup

I think most games now support cloud backup but that's down to each developer. To check if your games are backed up, you can go to secure.oculus.com/my/cloud-backup on your phone or PC. It'll list all your cloud-backed-up games.

If there are any of your games that aren't on that list, then the saves will be stored locally on your headset, I believe they're located in Android>Data, then each game has its own save game folder (I think).

13700K, RTX 4070 Ti, Asus ROG Strix Z790-A Gaming, Corsair H150i Capellix, 64GB Corsair Vengence DDR5, Corsair 5000D Airflow, 4TB Samsung 870 , 2TB Samsung 990 Pro x 2, DK2, CV1, Rift-S, Quest, 2, 3, Pro, Windows 11 Pro 10.0.22631

Yes, all games and data are tied to the account, not the headset. I believe the unlock pattern is specific to the headset so that shouldn't transfer to the new one.
