I get the "does not meet minimum requirements' nag screen even though I'm pretty sure it does. How can I turn this off? FYI, heres my pc specs: Core I7 cpu on Asrock mobo with 8gb ram Gtx 970 gpu with 4 gb ddr5 memory 8 USB 3 ports (2 on mobo, 6 on pci card) plus 2 usb 2 ports Windows 10
That sounds like some verbally abusive "friends" and "family" you have there. I personally either wouldn't tolerate that, and tell them to gtfo, or I'd take it as a joke and retort in kind as it's a "dick" friend that you need to drop all seriousness and neither get offended by the bullshit the other spouts. Either way, you don't need to take it personally. I was barely able to afford the rift, and use it with an old 400$ pc from walmart I threw a new gpu/psu/stick of ram in. No one that I have shown has said anything similar, and if they told me about the message, I'd simply tell them how it actually is. The program only checks the name of the hardware it's using, not real performance, it's bs made to cover their ass if someone lags and gets sick. Then proceed to ask them what gpu they have to run their virtual reality device, oh wait, they're bumming off of mine and telling me how amazing it is.. How am I supposed to feel bad about my situation here?

Rofl that's pretty sad if you're still silly enough to be depressed by that, it's just ridiculous. It's been explained to death, you'll just have to somehow move on. Who cares? You don't see it in any game, it doesn't spam you, it's a warning. It's like a smoker complaining about the surgeon general warning on every single pack of cigarettes telling you in numerous locations on each box.
They should at least change the text to add this to the blurb at the top of the screen "If issues arise that require support to assist, you will get NONE OF IT if you are reading this screen. Thanks for the money BTW we gladly still keep it and no you can't return shit"
