UPS Have lost my DK2

Was surprised to get a shipping note yesturday (UK) and it was out for delivery today.

Got home to find no parcel... But then I went to the UPS site and it showed delivered at 11:54 to "Mailbox"

I rang them and thats all they can tell me.. "THe shipper gives us permission to leave the parcel outside" and they claim its in the mailbox.

Funny thing is, in the UK we don't have "mailboxes" so she said he probably put it through the letter box.. Which is about 8" wide.

Great.. So they have either lost my parcel, or left it on the door step and someone has nicked it..

What now? How do I notify OR of the loss? And more importantly, do I have to join the back of the queue again?

Gutted mate, have you tried your bins? I had some parcels put in the recycle bins (Manchester) hopefully it's in there!

Nightmare scenario. This is why I had UPS hold mine for me to pick up.

Well, that and I was able to go get it that morning instead of waiting for the typical late afternoon delivery time.

Wow that's extremely disappointing.

I assume you tried the neighbours and did a thorough search of the surrounding area. F*ck.

My sincerest condolences, I can't imagine how upset you must be and I truly hope Oculus do what is right and send you a new one immediately! Hopefully with a courier instead of the seemingly useless UPS.

It's most likely a bad ups driver.
Of course they would never drop it outside your door.
You need to raise a claim with ups ànd they can pay value of content.
Then reorder from oculus. Oculus have no reason to send you one since you can get recover cost from ups.

Don't fall for costumer service bs... They just want you to stay silent.

I am sure oculus have already said they will help if something happens during initial transit to residence.

Id like to chuck in that the UPS driver who delivered mine dropped it on my neighbors doorstep while they were out, its by the sheer grace of God that it didnt go walkies. UPS are UPSeless, same with whoever delivers Amazon stuff around my way, EVERYTHING gets left on the doorstep.
