UPS Have lost my DK2

Was surprised to get a shipping note yesturday (UK) and it was out for delivery today.

Got home to find no parcel... But then I went to the UPS site and it showed delivered at 11:54 to "Mailbox"

I rang them and thats all they can tell me.. "THe shipper gives us permission to leave the parcel outside" and they claim its in the mailbox.

Funny thing is, in the UK we don't have "mailboxes" so she said he probably put it through the letter box.. Which is about 8" wide.

Great.. So they have either lost my parcel, or left it on the door step and someone has nicked it..

What now? How do I notify OR of the loss? And more importantly, do I have to join the back of the queue again?

The fact is he can say that but if you weren't in he would have urinated on it and thrown it in next door's garden


I've ordered a lot of stuff over the past two years that I've been in Germany and have always had to sign for it (or my neighbour does) So I think we are pretty safe over here.

Also pretty much everyone in Germany lives in apartments so leaving it by the door would be kinda like leaving it on the footpath.

Not read all posts in this thread but jweaver aren't you covered by the card you paid with?

Of course.. But you dont go down that route until the seller refuses to help.. In this case i have no doubt thar OR will sort me out.. But i just dont need this on my mind right now.

Not Rift related, however, had around $1k USD worth of stuff left on my front porch by UPS. Funny thing is that I was home. They didn't ring the door bell or knock on the door. Just left it and ran. WTF?
