Test Phone 1 - Had it connected over the night had checked it through the day it looked as if it was charging and checked I periodically throughout the day and before I left waited until I hear the charging sound, in the morning it was nearly dead at 12% of Battery with a Warning flashing on the screen every secound too fast to read the back of the phone felt fiery hot, disconnected the GearVR and am charging it normally.
The system battery settings indicated that the android operating system was responsible for the 35% of the battery drain screen for 10%, on further examining the device in the notifications menu it showed that the device was being connected and disconnected for the USB over and over again, even though i did not have it connected to any USB at the time could be an artifact of the low power state and detecting the GearVR.
Test Phone 2 - Had the phone plugged in to the GearVR and the GearVR via USB and it was working fine by the morning a little warm to the touch. What i noticed was that in the morning after testing it, the application started calling OnUnMounted of every 4 minutes a couple times which woke up the application and could indicate a higher application usage if the phone couldn't properly get back into a sleep state.
Test Phone 1 - After testing the phone in the gearVR after it had reached 100% it did not recognize the gearVR, and when plugging the gearVR into the charger and plugging the phone into the GearVR a popup appeared saying "slow charging: make sure the cable is properly connected, use charger that came with the device", on both phones i currently have available. Both devices worked in the Gear VR that was plugged in via Cable.
How can i keep the GearVR working correctly when only charging the S9 via Wireless Charger and leaving it connected to the GearVR?
