our company is making portable VR TREADMILL our engineers are working on it

it might be 350$ +@ but it would not be that much expencive

we will try to make it as fast as we could !!

A treadmill probably won't help for sim sickness. Your feet may be moving, but your vestibular sense is still not feeling the acceleration that your eyes are seeing.

That's true, but it's feeling enough acceleration to convince it that movement is happening, even if it's not necessarily the 'right' acceleration. From what those who've spent significant amounts of time on one of these treadmills say, any sim sickness went away when they started walking in one instead of using a game controller.

This sounds great, I would love to use something like this to walk around in Ethan Carter. Hopefully, it would stop me feeling as sick.

In real life if we run walk in a constant speed, there is no more acceleration, but we (vestibular system) still moving up and down and it seems to enough to eliminate motion sickness... VR treadmill provide this up and down movement while walking or running. So there is hope to move Naturally through virtual space in the future.
VR treadmill technology will evolve and maybe one day we will create an affordable virtual magic floor that will not require to be strapping around hips as any vr treadmill does today ! Can't wait for this day

Except for oscillating vertical acceleration IRL, acceleration doesn't affect motion sickness with me. For me, the orientation of my head needs to change with the changes in orientation in VR (rotational changes). Translation doesn't affect me (forward-back, side motion). So, a treadmill type device (or a swivel chair) would be great for me. Oddly enough, seeing a photo of a place I know well facing a direction that doesn't match the real life orientation can be disorienting for me (though, it has never caused any motion sickness 😛 which is good since I really like photos).

bowl+skates+feet tracking+a rope - its that easy

Yes, it's the controller rotation that makes me feel sick. If I swivel in my chair while walking in Ethan Carter I don't feel sick.

does not look stable with such a small base. Is it bolted down?

yes it is and this is prototype our engineers are working hard to make a new version

In what ways would it be better than the Virtuix Omni, for example?  Mainly it's small size for portability?

I believe the Omni is currently priced at $699, though I'm sure they've said they expect that to come down as they produce more.

But I'm not sure how well this would work unless it's much larger than it appears to be in the image above.

And note that a lot of the complexity is in the software, not the hardware. The Omni tracks your feet and your waist and then figures out what you're doing (walking, running, side-stepping, etc) and where you're pointing. So there's still a lot of work to do after the physical design is complete.

Looks awesome! Although I am still on the fence about treadmills in general. The biggest issue for me is quickly getting in and out of it when you have to use vehicles in game.
