YES, MY FRIEND WHO ORDERED LAST 2 WEEKS ALREADY OWN A VIVE

I WOKE UP AT 3AM TO GET THE RIFT PRE-ORDERED 6 MONTHS AGO, AND MY RIFT IS STILL NOWHERE TO BE SEEN, TODAY IS ALREADY A WEEK SURPASSED ESTIMATED SHIPPING DATE, WHAT IS THIS OCULUS?? -*-

Apples and Oranges - you could definitely cancel the Rift order and pick up a Vive if you need VR now (Who could blame you!)

The Rift is absolutely stunning - and worth the wait and cost easily. It is by far the greatest technology I have ever used in my personal life.

Oculus is learning a lot about logistics and meeting demand, and it's easy to fault them for this launch - but again, so worth it.

That's what other Vive buyers were asking when they'd preordered in February or March and were still waiting, while I just received mine that I ordered in April.

Anyway, $300 cheaper is somewhat reasonable (thanks to AU shipping cost). As long as oculus could at least "process" my order or reply my support request, I may stay with Rift. Most of 15 min orders are shipped, but mine is not even processing, ..good!!

Well that must mean not as many pre ordered the Vive as the Rift

I LOVE IT WHEN PEOPLE LEAVE ALL CAPS ON TO TRY AND MAKE A POINT! IT'S LIKE I'M YELLING AND BECAUSE I KNOW USING CAPITAL LETTERS PEOPLE WILL TAKE ME SERIOUSLY AND NOT LIKE A MELODRAMATIC TEEN!
Facebook bought Instagram. How exactly did they ruin them?

some of it is yea... likely because HTC has more experience building electronics and shipping them around the world... but I would guess most of the reasons why you can buy Vive now but you're still waiting for day 1 Rift preorders is because not as many people want the Vive (aka not as many people want it)... Should probably tell you where the Vive is going... once Oculus Touch is out, I don't see any reason why anyone would own the Vive
