I think the price of VIVE will be 800+ USD + tax and shipment, so for people like me living in Spain with high taxes rates will be around 1000 $, sounds logic if you compare with the rift, oculus + touch controllers will be in that range of price too.

Edit: How can they know the price if they show us a DEV KIT 2 of the VIVE??

Coming from France, Lyon, with some narrows road, I was impressed first time I came to USA in 1990 by the size of roads, building, cities, cars, etc.. Now I added size of ballpark too 😉

Around $1000 would put in same ballpark as a complete Rift setup including the touch controllers.

It won't cost $1500, it will be roughly in the $350 ballpark.

If it is $1500, you can bet people will keep their Rift orders and buy Touch when it comes out. The Rift+Touch will most likely still be $1000 or less.

I am guessing the Vive will be around $1000 because it will be competitive with Oculus and still allow for some profit on the hardware.

If the Vive can come in at $800, I think many people would cancel their Oculus orders and go with the more complete package.

Okay... Oculus is selling their product at cost price (hardware cost without developing and research cost). Oculus Touch will additionally cost $200-300. Price for CV1 and Touch will be around $800-900. HTC Vive will already be bundled with their "Touch" devices. Why would anybody here assume that HTC will or even can sell this below $1000?

HTC Vive will cost at least $1000. My guess would be $1200 or even more.

I would say $1000 and worth every penny and better value for money than the Oculus when you consider what comes in the box. Remeber the Oculus Rift is 600, then add likely another $200-300 for the controllers/sensors and then the sensors they want to add down the line etc...
