The VR space is estimated to become a $7 billion dollar market by 2016. For sure, there are investment opportunities to be had in this, while it is on the verge of being born. Looking at the different technologies, I have come up with my own little list of investments.
However, the fact remains that I'm not exactly a financial investor, and as such, I do not have the funds to establish an ETF (my preferred method of investing, other than fixed interest RIRAs). I have looked at a few investor funds to see if they had anything that in this market, however, I am coming up empty.
So, my question to the community, does anyone know of an ETF or fund that invests in this space?

I was thinking about this same topic a week ago. I am not aware of any ETFs - out of curiosity what are some top ideas you have in the VR space? During the mini correction in the market back in October I increased my position in NVDA. The problem I see is that most companies that are directly tied to VR space are start ups and not publicly traded which leaves me with options of investing into established companies that will benefit from explosion in VR.
I wasn't necessarily looking at not only the specific companies with VR products, but also the underlying tech behind those products.
This is confusing, even to me. Basically, PrioVR. The company isn't publicly traded, however, the IMU's from the manufacturers that they use, are. The same thing with the Rift, SamsungVR, etc..
Of course, there is Facebook (Oculus Rift), but there is also (inside the Rift): Spectra7 Microsystems (TSXV:SEV) - 7100 Processor InvenSense (NYSE:INVN) - IMU Toshiba (TYO:6502) - HDMI bridge STMicroelectronics’ (NYSE:STM) - Microcontroller Samsung Electronics (KRX:005930) - Screen
There is also, of course, Sony and Samsung (already listed).
For Sony, we have (possibly, no firm data yet.. speculation is that they would go with tried-and-true tech that they already use, ie: Tech applicable to the HMD that is inside the Playstation Move)
