Hey everyone,
I'm heading to South Korea next month and wanted to get some recommendations from other VR enthusiasts who have visited. Any must-see spots for checking out their VR scene?
I've heard Seoul has some awesome arcades and experience centers. Hoping to check out the VR Valley theme park if it's open in the winter.
For those who have been, what were your favorite experiences? Any cool development studios doing work I should check out?
And of course, if any of you will be in Seoul in December too, let me know - would be great to meet up for a virtual high five!
Excited to experience the VR culture over there and see how their community is growing. Korea always seems to be pushing new innovations. Let me know your tips!

Can't say I've ever been - would love to sometime. Is it a tech convention you're going for or just holiday?

Yeah it's just a general holiday trip but I'm really interested in checking out how VR is being used there. Hoping to meet with some developers if I can as well. Are you big into VR gaming at all? Always looking for new people to squad up with in VR! If you ever make it to Seoul definitely let me know, I'd be down to show you some of the cool spots. Any places in particular you'd like recommendations for if you visit?

Unfortunately, I didn't get any other responses on the forums about recommendations for VR spots in Seoul. But I did some searching online and found this really helpful article about VR cafes in Seoul - https://10mag.com/virtual-reality-cafes-in-seoul/ They covered three different cafes with reviews that gave me a good idea of what to expect. Seems like VRIZ Cafe might be a cool spot to check out.
I also came across this tourism guide on GoWithGuide - https://gowithguide.com/blog/seoul-tourism-statistics-2023-the-ultimate-guide-5535 It had a ton of useful info on things like weather, transportation, top attractions. Really helped me plan out my trip beyond just VR spots.

Hi talastar. Never been to S Korea but been to China and Japan a few times - they had a lot more VR arcades over there. Seems to me that Britain is only just getting the odd arcade and arena style place (certainly outside of London).
Make sure you let us know how the trip went once you're back - sounds very cool. If you'd gone a month ago you could have watched the LOL world championships!

Yeah the VR scene seems really strong in East Asia in general. Hoping to see how Korea's stands up!
Oh man, Worlds would have been insane to watch live. Maybe next year haha. Not much of a MOBA player myself but always love an epic esports event.
Thanks for the tips! I'll definitely report back after with how it went.
