VRCover delayed?

Hey guys, I ordered a VR cover way back on April 23. They said it would ship by the 10th of May but it has not. I was wondering if anyone else had theirs delayed in this way? I've written their support about it but no response yet. Just curious basically.

God dammit! Just got a letter saying that I have to cough up an ADDITIONAL $40 bucks in import tax + handling fees. That's more than double what the product itself cost..  if I don't pay up they'll just return the package.

Considering how disappointed many are, I'm pretty tempted to do just that...  😞

DAMN!!!! I just logged in to cancel my order and it is showing as shipped... no email confirmation however.

if i get that kind of customs charge i will reject it.  hopefully i wont however as it seems to be coming from Germany. (I am in England)

The whole thing sounds like a massive dissapointment which isa shame as the dk2 version was so good.  IF they ever improve the design maybe they will ship out all V1 customers with 1 of the fixed ones?

The package is from Singapore, and it shipped via Germany, just like yours. The Danish customs snagged it - them bastards!

Was considering cancelling and it shipped.

I wouldn't say all reviews are negative but mixed so I am keeping an open mind.

To add a positive opinion: Personally I like mine, and if you pull the cover over properly then the proximity sensor doesn't go off. I found it even easier to put on the rift if you just take the insert out and then you can get it on better at the top.

At first I liked the fact it got rid of the nose gap but now I want my nose gap back 😛 So would of been nice to have the second cover without a bit over the nose for example. (Which I think I read somewhere he was planning.) But all in all I'm still using it every time I use my rift which is everyday!

If I dont get hit for customs I wouldnt be to bothered as its only about £30 for the 2 which isnt bad really and theres not much in the way of alternatives. I think the one for the vive is more important for me as I can build up quite a sweat playing certain games so il probably just keep the order.

Nice to hear a couple of positive posts though, makes me feel a bit better about it.

I've always thought a memory foam replacement would be better.

I think 3D printed faceplates are the way to go. I would love to have the tech to scan peoples faces and create proper custom fitted pads.

This can actually be an interesting use of 3D Scanning tech. Never thought of that! But, on the other hand, soft cushions are a much cheaper alternative to custom 3d printed face masks.

I think they copied Widmo covers, they bought it and then remade it.
