I was hoping to re-use the one from quest 2 by drilling a couple of holes in it for the camera and USB-C, but the connectors are sized slightly differently. Not sure that was really necessary, was it?
I personally think since the Meta Quest 3 looks very unique and has more features outside and it is obvious it would have needed to have different straps and accessories for it.

Overall, I find the Quest3 to be an undeniable improvement over Quest2, but I wasn't "floored" by it. I was surpised at how much I miss the rings on the controllers and how frequently I used them to hold both controllers with one hand when I had to free up a hand. I always also surprised that the mini golf game I play that used to drop frames and stutter at times still does it. I guess the stuttering is not due to processing power.
I also really miss the head strap. I was hoping I wouldn't have to drop another $130 on top of the $600, ah well.
Yep, the lack of rings has thrown me off a little, I'm used to them as a handle / support stand. But playing Bonelab with Touch Plus is so nice when you can **bleep** a gun without bumping tracking rings. 🙂
