We NEED a Store for replacement foam, cables, cameras and controllers!

As someone who shares their Rift with family and friends, and has a cat that will chew up cables if I'm not super careful.. I'd really like the option to be able to order new foam inserts when they get too dirty, or a new cable if something happens to it.
I think it is super important for a consumer device of this nature and expense, to have a support-store, for this stuff.
As far as I know, there hasn't even been any rumors about this.. 😞 so I just hope they haven't forgotten consumers need it..

I agree completely.
It's strange the consumer has to bring this up.

Spare parts would be nice yes....also some slightly longer cables.

Agreed. A Hardware section in the Oculus Home store for replaceable parts would be great.

I asked a similar question, but mine was where you would get the CV1 repaired after the warranty. For such an expensive device I thought the answer would be to go through Oculus support, but it seems it becomes a paper weight if it breaks after warranty. Nobody could answer what I though was an important question about repairs. If Oculus aren't willing to repair a device then i wonder who will? It sounds bizarre given the amount of things that could go wrong with this device that they don't seem to offer repairs.

I really don't understand either, spare parts and accessory's like face plates etc are where most company's make their money

I asked Oculus support they said "not available" and linked to their outdated blog where new things are to be announced there.

It's easier to file a bogus case where you claim the cable or sensor are DOA than to make a legitimate spare part order. Oculus. Come on. Make sense.
