What About Duel Chip Video Cards?

I know the general rule is "wait on SLI or Crossfire". I guess I'm curious to know if the same holds true for duel-GPU cards? I'm hearing AMD may come out with one?

A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text. Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing? A: Top-posting. Q: What is the most annoying thing on forums?

I understand with the PSVR that it will have a separate video processing 'box' that the headset plugs in to. Apparently to take the majority of the hard work off the console.
Makes you wonder why this hasn't been proposed for the PC version so you can easily upgrade a smaller unit rather than a complete computer for VR?

Because that is a GPU ~ you can already do that and buy a better box already. People like to say they need a new PC a lot because they consider the PC the whole thing. Truth, they can just upgrade parts of the PC and get a bigger boost (up to a point anyways).

I believe the the box does 2 things, interpolates the 60hz output of the PS4 into 120hz and does a type of timewarp to move some frames with the headset. So it is taking a couple of tasks off the PS4 but I would say this is more due to CPu bottlenecks than adding more grunt.

That is back in the day!

I have had 2 crossfire setups.

Dual x1950pro's
Dual 290x's (current)

The first was because I was young and silly and the second is for 4k gaming.
