What game should we make make next for Oculus Touch?

Hey all. We're about to start work on a new Oculus Touch game and we're now doing research in to what would be a good game to make. I want to get some feedback from the group and ask; what game would you like to see in the store that isn't available at the moment? Is there something missing that you've searched for? Or perhaps what type of games would you like to see more of? It would be awesome to get some input on this and build a game that you guys want smile

(hmm, thinking thinking)

What about a flying game?  I have just started playing ultrawings.  The planes are really easy to fly and it is a fun game.  It's something different.

As far as I am aware there is no arcade type racing game available for the rift.  I really want to see an arcade typing racing game.  We need a need for speed type game on the rift.

My third one is a long shot.  I have been playing a game called Planet Minigolf on the PS3 for about 5 - 6 years.  I play it almost daily with a friend.  We play 3 x 9 hole random courses.  Despite playing it almost daily for 5 - 6 years we are stil not bored of it.  I would love to see rift game based on that game.

There are a ton of arcade racing games for VR currently, Redout, Radial-G and a few others I've seen. As for what's truly missing, a good old stompy robot game. We have a few 3rd person ones and Archangel's 2-3 hour quicktime event thing, but I'd really like something along the lines of a traditional Mechwarrior game or the super old Shattered Steel series for those that remember the '90's. So yeah, first person, full control, built for analog stick control (gamepad/touch/HOTAS). See the "War Robots" VR demo on steam for ideas. Would love to see a full game along those lines.

I'd love to see a game based on the old Incredible Shrinking Man films with the opportunity to craft weapons and equipment from everyday objects. I can't remember when the film was set but I'd love the game to be set in Victorian England.

Plenty of enemies in the form of mice, rats, cats dogs, bees, wasps and of course full sized people.

There are many others like it, but this is mine.

Depends on how complicated you want to go.

I can see a giant robot v robot fight (like 10 stories tall) where the users are in pods that are around the peripheral of the fight area, so you get the third person view, but you're controlling the robot.

It should let you switch your view to inside the robot, but that leaves your pod vulnerable.

Most weapons would be classic hand weapons, where you see bits of each fighter go flying with the hits, with a few projectile ones thrown in.

I think being able to watch the carnage like it's a movie but you're providing the action, and change the view by moving the pod, would be cool. (Think Transformer fight but you're in control)

Another one I'd like to see is an 18th century warship game where you're the captain shouting commands to your crew.

"Raise the topsail, I need more speed!"
"Load the guns, and prepare to fire!"
"Run out the sweeps!"
"Prepare to board!"

Additional users can join in to handle specific areas.

All the commands from the captain would be vocal, and additional users could communicate with the captain, but they would be more hands on.

Personally I wouldn't say games like Redout and Radial G are arcade racers.  There is no game on the rift similar to say Need For Speed.

I've always thought that a Yugioh game would be fantastic for the Rift.  However it should not be like a card game layout.  Make it like on the show with the armbands ( Season ONE....not the awful other seasons )

Just an idea.

Well.. you state Need For Speed as opposed to "Arcade Racers" .. so not 100% sure on what you're inferring. But if you're looking for a realistic driving racer there is Dirt Rally and Project Cars. They are both quite good.

But if you specifically meant "Street Racer" then I guess you're correct.
