Currently, I'm on the usual two-sensor front-facing setup because attempts at opposing corner, 360-degree tracking leave a lot to be desired when it comes to reliability and avoiding tracking dropouts. It's pretty much unusable for Onward and a lot of other 360-degree games.

I'm planning on ordering two sensor cameras soon to fix this, thanks to the Christmas funds I received. Yes, I said TWO cameras for rearward coverage. No optical tracking system dependent on line-of-sight works better with fewer points of reference, after all.

I have 2 sensors about 4 feet apart on either side of my dual monitor setup. I have had no issues with my Touch controllers losing connection. It seems to me that as long as at least one is in line of sight with one sensor, everything seems to work properly. I don't know if the controllers can see each other (which would be a great way of bypassing most LOS issues) or if the computer can approximate position of the hidden controller based on last known position and gravimetric sensors. Either way, I have yet to have any issues. Granted, my play space is rather small (4'x7') so that may have something to do with it, but so far I have also not seen any problems with playing in that small of a space. Perhaps if I were to build something really large and detailed in Medium? Most games seem to be working under the assumption that most people don't have an extra warehouse to set up their VR.

I have 2 sensor setup about 3ft back from where I sit 6ft high and 8ft apart, tracks real good if I don't turn my back to the sensors I took the sensors off their stands and used 2 1/4 bolts to have them hang upside down from my shelf

I have one on my desk shelf to the top left of my monitor, and one behind me, to my left side.
Tacking so far seems fine in my limited play space.
I ordered wall mount things and an extension. I plan to wall mount certainly the front one, more centrally, and higher up, pointing down a bit more.

Not sure where to put the other one... it might need to stay where it is.

I'll be trying out a roomscale setup with two cameras when I pick up my extensions later,  hopefully it will work fine. I'm a bit worried about whether the tracking quality will take a hit compared to two front facing. I do have a 3rd sensor ordered.

Right now I only got a 2 camera setup. But I have plenty of space... the room I'm setup in right now has about 12'X16' of free space cleared - so effectively I'm limited by the length of the cord which is like 10' long. I have the cameras about 6' apart on tripods about 4' 6" off the ground. I'm noticing a lot of occlusion when my back is turned to the cameras which happens in certain experiences, but otherwise it works excellent when I'm facing the cameras.

I'm planning on buying 2 more sensors to cover all 4 corners, and an extension cable for my HMD so that I can more fully use my space, and maybe hang my HMD cables from the roof. Would be nice if Oculus would release a wireless add-on similar to the vive for my current gen rift.

2 sensors, I have however ordered a third sensor.
My play space isn't optimal and have a wall between my two sensors, so I need another one to get better tracking in some games.

3 cameras for me in the recommended setup of 2 in the front around 6 ft apart and one in the back right pointed diagonally about 13ft from the front left.   I am toying with the idea of a 4th in the back facing diagonal towards the front right but 3 gives superb tracking already.

3 sensors, two in front upside down on the ceiling attached to the base and stuck with 3M tape about 6 feet apart, one in the rear 13 feet from the front left aimed at the front left upside down also on the ceiling. Works well.

I'm using a similar set up as the pic above. 3 sensors, 2 in front about 6 feet apart and one in the back off to the side about 12 ft back. The rift hdmi connects to an extension hdmi, it's usb and the usb from the third sensor go to a separate usb hub. So far tracks very well, even on the ground.
