What was the Original demo of Oculus

A few years ago I tried a demo of Rift in a BestBuy and bout the Oculus for my son.  The demo consisted of me in an elevator (in space?) and when the doors opened I remember looking around.  In one area there was a small toy train setup and I could bend down and look all around it..

does anyone know what that area or app was? I’m about to get a Quest and was wondering if that will be available on it as well.

im not sure if this was just some sort of demo environment or if it comes standard with the Rift.  My son never saw it, so he cannot help me.  I’m hoping someone knows!

thank you!!

Did different areas have different art styles?   I wonder if you might be thinking of Oculus Dreamdeck?

That was one of the first experiences available for the platform  (I think it might have even come pre-loaded when installing Home?)   and it's definitely something I always used to demo Rift to my friends and family.

I’m in honestly not sure.  I just remember the elevator that seemed like it had no walls and I thought I’d fall off and that train table and how I was kneeling down and viewing the train from all angles...

@CrashFu. It looks like you are correct! I found a YouTube video on Dreamdeck and it shows the train set I was talking about!! Hopefully this will run on Quest!!  Thank you!!

Haha, glad my guess was right.  Yeah, I hope they bring it to Quest, as well.  It's such a fun, simple experience for first-time VR experiences...  and it's priceless seeing the reactions of people facing that skyscraper ledge or having the T-rex get in their face.

I loved the little miniature city, personally.
