I've been quite patient for a long while now, but it gets to me recently.
Every time I want to play some PCVR, I have to restart my headset, if I don't, there's no sound.
When will Meta improve the PC app ? we deserve attention as well.

Hi @TheHolyBird , when you say you've been patient... have you asked this question before? I don't remember this coming up on the forum but I may have missed it. Also 'we'.... has this been something that others have had a problem with? is there something common to your setups that you know about that can lead to help in pinning down the cause?
The forum can throw up some useful help but we probably need a little more info.
What headset are you using, Quest 2, 3, 3s, Pro? what Quest software version, v71? when did the problem start? has it always happened? what method of PCVR are you using? is it Steam games using SteamVR? Oculus games using just the Link software? do you use Virtual Desktop? does that same thing happen using these different methods of playing PCVR games? does it happen when using wired and wireless? Your hardware specs might also be useful, and version of Windows.
I had a similar issue a little while back which I thought was down to an update of the Link software but it turned out to be a SteamVR update that changed the default sound output device without my choosing to change it. I had to go into the Steam options and set it back to my preferred output. SteamVR has a habit of doing that... it did the same thing with the the FOV setting for a game I play without my input.
Anyway, let us know a bit more and someone may be able to point you in the right direction.
